OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 

  • Obj 1: Identify complications associated with PICC and Central lines in the outpatient setting.
  • Obj 2: Describe potential adverse reactions to commonly used antibiotics in the outpatient setting and identify the appropriate treatment for these reactions.
  • Obj 3: Review the process of preparing patients for home antibiotics after discharge from the inpatient setting.
