OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Discuss the importance of a careful history in a patient experiencing dysphagia, (2) Describe various testing modalities, opportunities to pursue appropriate escalation, and appreciation of a comprehensive approach to diagnostic assessments. (3) Appreciate tailored approaches to management in a patient with an esophageal motility disorder.
