Overview:  Making the Right Choice: Physician and APP Compliance Education is designed to strengthen understanding of compliance policies and compliance reporting options.

To educate physicians and APPs on important issues, the course features three risk-based topics that include fraud, waste and abuse; conflicts of interest/outside professional activities; and gifts and business gratuities.

A Resources section provides the learner with access to key documents, such as the Code of Conduct, as well as key BSWH policies and key content on BSWconnect.

The course also provides learners with an overview of the seven essential elements of a Compliance Program and details on how the Office of Corporate Ethics & Compliance supports each of them.

Participants are also required to answer all post-test questions correctly before receiving completion credit.

  • Emphasize the importance of patient safety and role of everyone to stop the line when concerns are identified
  • Recognize/support the non-retaliation and non-retribution policy
  • Describe Provider and APP responsibilities as they relate to the Medicare Shared Savings Program
