Compare historical and contemporary approaches to intravenous fluid resuscitation and their impact on patient outcomes.

Analyze current evidence regarding intravenous fluid administration across a variety of acute clinical conditions.

Discuss methods available for assessing volume status and fluid responsiveness including emerging applications of point-of-care ultrasound and hemodynamic monitoring.
