OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1.  Explain the components of a work-up for a suspected neck mass and distinguish between the various types of neck masses based on clinical and imaging findings including congenital versus non-congenital.
2.  Discuss the underlying genetic causes (when applicable) for neck masses.
3.  Review the role of medical and surgical therapy in treatment of different neck masses.
