Faculty will present and discuss the most recent cases presented in clinic. Literature and up-to date research will be used to provide guided support for targeted topic. Audience participation will provide for greater discussion and consideration to develop best practices and improve overall outcomes for patients with cerebrovascular care issues. By focusing on these objectives, the Mortality and Morbidity Stroke Review Committee can drive meaningful improvements in cerebrovascular care outcomes and patient safety.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Conduct comprehensive reviews of mortality and morbidity cases to identify underlying causes and contributory factors leading to adverse outcomes in stroke patients.
2. Enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of stroke care delivery by refining clinical protocols and pathways based on evidence-based practices and lessons learned from case reviews.
3. Implement systematic approaches to monitor performance, opportunities for enhancement, and evidence-based practices.
