This course is perfect for first time parents as well as for those who have already experienced childbirth. It will also provide parents with the information on breastfeeding, car seat safety and newborn care.
Join us for a special session "Meet the Doulas" where you’ll hear from experienced doulas from the United Way of Tarrant County and Trust Her Doula Initiative. These doulas can provide free labor and delivery and postpartum support to eligible families in Tarrant County. During the session, you will learn how doulas can enhance your birth experience, offer emotional and physical comfort, and advocate for your needs during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. You will get to meet the 5 doulas on the team, and receive assistance in applying if interested. Eligible families can receive prenatal sessions, attendance at birth and delivery, and up to 8 postpartum visits within the first year after delivery, all for no cost. Whether you're expecting your first baby or adding to your family, this class will connect you with valuable, compassionate resources!
This interactive course complements the information you have already covered in a childbirth class. You will discover the philosophy behind natural childbirth and learn ways to increase comfort through: • Positioning • Massage • Breathing • And much more This class is an in-depth course that builds confidence through hands-on practice and tips for partners, incorporating support techniques. It is geared towards those interested in an unmedicated labor. This class would also be suitable for someone planning a VBAC or as a childbirth refresher.
This 3-week series helps you prepare for childbirth by focusing on the labor and birth experience, as well as the vital role of the support person. You'll learn and practice a variety of comfort measures, such as relaxation and breathing techniques. The class also covers: • Special procedures and epidurals • An overview of cesarean birth • Postpartum recovery and newborn care By the end of the series, you’ll feel more confident, informed, and ready for your birthing journey.
