According to the ASCO- American Society of Clinical Oncology, AATS, AJCC, Journal of Clinical Oncology and others, there are professional gaps on the management of adults after head and neck cancer (HNC) treatment, focusing on surveillance and screening for recurrence or second primary cancers, assessment and management of long-term and late effects, health promotion, care coordination, and practice implications.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1)Discuss the best clinical practices in the treatment of patients with highly complex head & neck cancers and promote multidisciplinary collaboration, (2) Recognize available and appropriate clinical trials and provide enrollment options.
