- Identify situations that constitute irreconcilable differences between a patient, or their surrogate decision maker and the facility care team about provision of care.
- Initiate a formal ethics consultation according to the process outlined in Texas law and BSWH policy.
- As an Ethics committee member, actively participate in a MARC proceeding when and if, needed.
