Overview: Pediatric providers need to better understand the documentation that is required for specific code assignment so that medical diagnosis codes are an accurate reflection of the acuity and complexity of a patient’s health story. Pediatric providers need to learn Epic tools that are available to help with HHS-HCC capture (coding) and will allow them to be successful with this work.
