OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Describe how to recognize, prevent, and manage delirium in the hospitalized older adult.
2. Discuss disposition options for older adults including functional level required at each setting and common pitfalls seen with transitions of care.
3. List several high-risk medications commonly used in the hospital and their side effects.
