This activity is designed to provide the primary care provider with practical clinical information on the recognition and evaluation of specific pediatric subspecialty disorders seen frequently in primary care office settings.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the attendee should be able to:

  • Use identified strategies to educate patients and their families regarding updates in vaccine schedules and new recommendations for additional immunizations.
  • Use strategies to educate patients and their families regarding possible long-term outcomes for patients with iron deficiency anemia and needed follow-up post-treatment.
  • Assess knee pain, both acute and chronic, by synthesizing comprehensive histories and examination findings to guide appropriate evaluation and management in pediatric patients.
  • Apply learned strategies to discern suitable methods for urine specimen collection based on age and UTI risk factors. 
  • Provide comprehensive counseling to patients regarding management, including the administration of antibiotics and imaging when deemed necessary.

Refunds (less $50 administrative fee) will be provided to registrants who cancel their registration two weeks prior to the course if cancellation by registrant becomes necessary. Refunds will be processed in the same form of payment as registration was received.
