OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
(1) Compare similarities and differences in guidelines by the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) and the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for the management of the abdominal aortic aneurysm.
(2) Discuss the increasing role that contrast-enhanced ultrasound may have for abdominal aortic aneurysm.
(3) Recognize the effect of imaging surveillance after endovascular aneurysm repair on reinterventions and mortality.
