OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Define circulating tumor (ctDNA) and minimal residual disease (MRD) and explain their biological and clinical significance.
2. Describe the current technologies used to detect and quantify ctDNA/MRD including their advantages and limitations.
3. Evaluate how ctDNA/MRD testing is being integrated into clinical trials across BSWH and the Texas Cancer Interception Institute.
