6th Annual Texas Cardiology Update

Concept
Baylor Scott & White’s 6th Annual Cardiology Update is designed to provide an update in initiating appropriate treatment and management of heart failure patients.
Target Audience
The Cardiology Update was designed to target cardiology and primary care providers caring for the cardiac patient.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the basic physics of ultrasound imaging and its real and potential applications for the evaluation and management of cardiac disease.
- Describe current best practice and evidence based guidelines for the evaluation and management of symptoms which may or may not indicate underlying cardiac disease.
- Review current best practice and evidence based guidelines for the evaluation and management of heart failure and where current research indicates that proven therapies are underutilized.
- Define the difference between errors, mistakes and malpractice and to review methods to reduce them.
