New medical knowledge and technology are advancing more quickly than most physicians can keep up with and utilize wisely.  This series of lectures to allow physicians to improve techniques involved in the diagnosis and management of disease often seen by Internal Medicine physicians.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1. Use the basic knowledge of how CT images are displayed and acquired to display patients' CT imaging.

2. Recognize basic abnormalities on CT such as pneumonia, edema, pleural effusions, and pneumothorax.

3. Order the appropriate CT of the chest for specific indications such as pneumonia, pulmonary nodules, pulmonary embolism, aortic pathology, and cardiac pathology.
