Present new surgical case to ensure that the responsible MDs provide the patient with NCCN guideline appropriate are. Imaging is reviewed for each tumor to determine typical and atypical features that might influence treatment, additional factors of RCOG status and co-morbidities are also presented.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Identify the appropriate NCCN guideline-based care for patients with primary liver cancer, as well as metastatic disease.
- Recognize common presenting symptoms of primary and secondary liver cancer.
- Analyze treatment modalities applicable to patients with primary and secondary liver cancer.
- Interpret MRI and other imaging scans for patients with liver cancer.
- Review trials and new surgical techniques available for appropriate liver cancer patients in the BSWH Health System.
