OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Identify the appropriate NCCN guideline-based care for patients with primary liver cancer, as well as metastatic disease.
- Recognize common presenting symptoms of primary and secondary liver cancer
- Analyze treatment modalities applicable to patients with primary and secondary liver cancer
- Interpret MRI and other imaging scans for patients with liver cancer
- Review trials and new surgical techniques available for appropriate liver cancer patients in the BSWH Health System.
