OBJECTIVES:  As a result of this activity, the participant should be able to understand that Diseases and treatment modalities evolve and improve with research about pulmonary disease. There is a need for physicians to get together to ensure consistent, evidence-based care of patients with pulmonary diseases using the most up to date and relevant knowledge available.

1) Recognize typical surgical and non-surgical post-operative complications of lung transplantation

2) Understand treatment options for typical non-infectious post lung transplant complications

3) Be able to recognize, diagnose, and treat common forms of lung transplant rejection
