OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 

1. Identify the presentation and initial management of aortic dissection, Describe the new SVS/STS aortic dissection classification system, and Discuss growing evidence for endovascular repair of uncomplicated type B aortic dissection.
 
2. Identify the evolution of the management of liver trauma., Understand the monitoring requirements and criteria for a patient undergoing non-operative management (NOM) of liver trauma, and  Understand the main operative techniques to control liver hemorrhage.
