OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Enhance participants understanding of the theological and spiritual foundations of resistance to end of life conversations in African-American culture.
2. Discuss the conflicts between African-American culture and Western clinical culture to enhance their understanding.
3. Develop strategies for facilitating dialogue with African-American families around end-of-life issues.
