This tumor board is designed to review existing cases and apply the most current evidence-based knowledge and guidelines to establish treatment plans for improved patient outcomes. With the changing landscape of healthcare, there is a need for physicians to continuously review surgical cases to be sure the patient is being provided with the NCCN guidelines, appropriate care and are aware of the most recent treatment options available for best care.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Identify when surgery, chemo, and/or radiation should be used for treatment, (2) Recognize new pathologic test that can provide prognostic indications for treatment decisions, (3) Identify new drugs and/or treatment modalities as they become available to treat cancer.
