OBJECTIVES:  Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Discuss better management of patient’s with rheumatic diseases in the preconception phase, stabilizing their underlying condition for better maternal and fetal outcomes, (2) Express early discussion and engagement of patient’s with rheumatic diseases in such discussions about contraception, pregnancy planning and better collaboration with Ob-Gyn, Maternal-fetal medicine and involvement of other specialties in a multidisciplinary manner e.g. nephrology, dermatology and in instances where there is pulmonary involvement with pulmonary HTN or ILD, working in close association with pulmonary medicine as part of a Team again for better maternal fetal outcomes.
