OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Explain the role of advance directive documents according to the Texas Advance Directives Act, including recent changes with code status validation, (2) Demonstrate where to locate advance directive documents in Epic and how to navigate the Advance Care Planning Navigator in Epic, (3) Name the elements and priority of decision-makers according to the Texas Statutory Hierarchy.
