Medicine Grand Rounds is designed to review existing cases and apply the most current evidence-based knowledge and guidelines to establish treatment plans for improved patient outcomes.
The purpose of the Internal Medicine Grand Rounds series is to provide the Internal Medicine physician audience with lectures to allow physicians to improve techniques involved in the diagnosis and management of disease often seen by Internal Medicine Physicians.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Identify key issues in Congress, White House, and agencies that could directly impact the practice of medicine, (2) Discuss the importance of advocacy regarding Congressional and agency influence over the practice of medicine, (3) List and explain key issue areas and learn how to influence policymaking regarding the practice of medicine. Specific issues: Patients Over Paperwork/Regulatory Relief, the 340B Drug Pricing Program, and Home Health.
