Orthopedic Grand Rounds is designed to review existing cases and apply the most current evidence-based knowledge and guidelines to establish treatment plans for improved patient outcomes. The Orthopedic surgeon management of complex Orthopedic patients has experienced many changes with new advancements and has improved dramatically over the past several years. The updates in this series will close gaps in knowledge related to the latest scientific information, and research related to the diagnosis, operating strategies and post-operative treatment of the Orthopedic patient.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Recognize fracture patterns, (2) Formulate treatment plans, (3) Discuss the rationale for different treatment modalities.
