OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1.  Recognize the need for advanced illness care planning and coordination in the care of children with complex chronic conditions.
2.  Discuss how to apply a palliative care approach in the care of children with chronic, irreversible or incurable illness.

3.  Discuss how to clarify goals of care and develop/implement a care management plan consonant with patient/family values.
