OBJECTIVES:   Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

  1. Discuss the Support Hospital Opioid Use disorder Treatment (SHOUT) initiative.
  2. Discuss evidence-based Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD).
  3. Discuss how to initiate treatment for OUD, including buprenorphine, methadone, and naltrexone.
  4. Discuss importance of Naloxone prescriptions.
