OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
(1) Discuss the negative impact of surgical and endoscopic procedure on the musculoskeletal health of medical providers.
(2) Identify patient, provider and procedure risk factors for ergonomic strain during procedures.
(3) Describe methods to mitigate the ergonomic strain of surgical and endoscopic procedures.
