OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1. Explain role of cholesterol in the body
2. Apply lipid lowering treatment based on patient characteristics/risk utilizing  AHA/ACC Guidelines
3. Appreciate role of newer lipid agents
4. Review role of diet in CAD regression
