New medical knowledge and technology are advancing more quickly than most physicians can keep up with and utilize wisely.  This series of lectures allows physicians to improve techniques involved in the diagnosis and management of disease often seen by Internal Medicine physicians.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1.  Evaluate the treatment options for patients who need to take anti-platelet agents.

2.  Conduct a risk assessment of each patient who takes aspirin regarding that patient's risk of having gastrointestinal bleed while on aspirin.

3.  Discuss treatment options to improve quality of life for your patients taking low dose aspirin.
