New medical knowledge and technology are advancing more quickly than most physicians can keep up with and utilize wisely. This series of lectures allows physicians to improve techniques involved in the diagnosis and management of disease often seen by Internal Medicine physicians.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Identify ways in which kidney health (or disease) modulates age-associated medical conditions.
2. Describe features of normal aging in the kidney and distinguish aging from chronic kidney disease.
3. Discuss emerging interventions that target human aging and CKD.
