OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Recognize outcome measures commonly utilized by physical therapists as recommended by the Academy of Neurologic Physical Therapy in the Core Outcomes Clinical Practice Guidelines, (2) Explain how to integrate data from outcome measures to formulate a clinical judgment regarding functional recovery or discharge prognosis, (3) Discuss relevant cut off scores, reliability and validity of selected outcome measures, as well as the effects of age on normative values.
