OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: 1) describe the epidemiology, diagnosis, management, and return to play protocol for adolescent sports-related concussions, 2) review characteristics related to a prolonged return to play in sports-related concussions, and 3) examine the association between the first clinic visit with a physician and the time to return to play.
