OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:  (1) Assess the impact of a pilot study whose objective was to test the safety and treatment effect of a PRP injection under ultrasound guidance into the supraspinatus tendon in people with SCI who have recalcitrant shoulder pain caused by rotator cuff disease, and (2) quantify spontaneous upper extremity motor recovery between 6 and 12 months after spinal cord injury (SCI) to help guide timing of nerve transfer surgery to improve upper limb function in cervical SCI.
