OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

 

1) Describe the onset of COVID-19 and the initial response by Baylor University Medical Center, specifically Surgical Services.
2) Identify key milestones in the war against COVID-19 from March 2020 – March 2022.
3) Define vaccine administration processes for both employees and the public, including outreach efforts in Dallas County for underserved and vaccine hesitant communities.
4) Summarize some of the challenges that healthcare, specifically, BSW Baylor University Medical Center, are currently facing.
5) Discuss lessons learned and positive outcomes of the COVID-19 pandemic.
