OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Describe current methodologies for teaching Medical Ethics and Professionalism during the preclinical years; (2) Analyze whether traditional pedagogy prepares learners for practice or whether it unintentionally contributes to depersonalization and workforce attrition; (3) Discuss new ways of teaching medical ethics, devising a dynamic, iterative curricula rather than inviolable doctrine to better serve students, physicians, patients, and the profession as a whole.
