OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to - (1) Recognize and appreciate the most common forms of infiltrative and other restrictive cardiomyopathies, (2) Review the different types of cardiac amyloidosis, and their distinct on diagnostic and therapeutic ramifications, (3) Review the current status on diagnostic criteria, imaging modalities and treatment options for cardiac sarcoidosis, (4) Explain the major cardiac and non-cardiac manifestations, diagnosis and available therapies for cardiac hemochromatosis, (5) Identify with Fabry cardiomyopathy as a prototype of metabolic “storage cardiomyopathies”,  (6) Value the need, and appreciate the challenges and opportunities for multi-disciplinary care of patients with those complex, systemic clinical conditions.
