OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Identify breast cancers that require a surgical approach Including both node negative and node positive, (2) Identify situations that favor a preoperative approach to breast cancer, (3) Recognize the reasons to discuss post mastectomy radiation with the patient, (4) Differentiate between drugs used to treat breast cancer, including chemotherapeutic approaches, and as hormonal treatments.
