New medical knowledge and technology are advancing more quickly than most physicians can keep up with and utilize wisely. This series of lectures allows physicians to improve techniques involved in the diagnosis and management of disease often seen by Internal Medicine physicians.
OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Identify classes of cancer therapies that are commonly associated with cardiovascular risk.
2. Identify the role of permissive cardiotoxicity in cancer therapy.
3. Recognize patients with cancer and cancer survivors that may benefit from referral to cardio-oncology.
