New medical knowledge and technology are advancing more quickly than most physicians can keep up with and utilize wisely.  This series of lectures allows physicians to improve techniques involved in the diagnosis and management of disease often seen by Internal Medicine physicians.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1.   Identify patients at risk for osteoporosis and their risk factors. 

2.   Differentiate osteoporosis and osteomalacia.

3.   Obtain the ability to diagnose, treat, and manage osteoporosis.
