New medical knowledge and technology are advancing more quickly than most physicians can keep up with and utilize wisely.  This series of lectures allows physicians to improve techniques involved in the diagnosis and management of disease often seen by Internal Medicine physicians.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1.   Describe the need for narrative competency in co-producing health care and health care systems. 

2.   Consider evidence for what happens when we read and write and reflect on how this relates to health care. 

3.   Describe approaches to promoting the learning and practice of narrative skills in clinicians.
