OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to: (1) Define Post-Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS) and associated features, specifically recognizing associated morbidity and costs, (2) Discuss actions being taken in the ICU to mitigate PICS, (3) Consider practice changes for patients admitted to and discharged from the ICU, including outpatient settings.
