OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1. Discuss verbal array of options for key factors perpetuating insomnia, range of behavioral treatment for chronic insomnia and how to find these resources for patients.
2. Identify key factors impacting sleep and major treatment components in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – Insomnia (CBT-I).
3. Summarize recent research on efficacy of CBT-I (either in person or internet based), other medical/psychosocial factors, and medication usage impacting outcomes.
