OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:

1. Identify the various types of cardiac masses encountered in echocardiography.

2. Review echocardiographic and anatomic features of cardiac masses identified in echocardiograms.

3. Develop an approach using echocardiographic and clinical characteristics to formulate a differential diagnosis for the various cardiac masses encountered in echocardiography.
