OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
- Describe the pathophysiology of cardiac amyloidosis and difference between AL and ATTR (including testing and treatment).
- Review the common abnormal echocardiogram findings seen in patients with cardiac amyloidosis.
- Define how PYP imaging can be used as a non-invasive method to distinguish AL from TTR cardiac amyloidosis.
