1) Explain the mechanism behind PONV. 2) Describe the different treatment options for PONV. 3) Analyze increase perioperative oxygenation to decrease PONV. 4) Discuss different trials regarding perioperative oxygenation to decrease PONV.

“Baseline Intraoperative Left Ventricular Diastolic Function is Associated with Postoperative Atrial Fibrillation after Cardiac Surgery”
OBJECTIVES: As a result of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1) Review TEE markers for LV Diastolic function. 2) Recognize grading of LV diastolic function from TEE markers. 3) Determine viability of LV diastolic function as a predictor for post-op Afib.

“Spinal Anesthesia after Failed Epidural? Is it Safe?"
OBJECTIVES: As a result of this activity, the participant should be able to:
1) Explain the difference between spinal anesthesia vs epidural anesthesia. 2) Identify incidence and reasons of an epidural failure. 3) Analyze the literature exploring the conversion from failed epidural to spinal anesthesia, considering the associated implications and outcomes.
