OBJECTIVES:  Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:  (1) Describe the role of serendipitous observation and narrative ethics in patient care, (2) Review a case where these ideas were employed to resolve an ethical dilemma related to patient’s care,  (3) Analyze ways in which serendipity, awe and wonder may apply to one’s own practice.
