Presented by the Departments of Psychiatry and Family Medicine of Baylor Scott & White Health
Meets the DEA MATE Act requirement for 2.0 hours of training in opioid and other substance abuse disorders.
Primary care providers are on the frontlines of medicine working with patients who struggle with mental health issues every day. Our event hopes to work toward integration of behavioral health and primary care and build professional connections to better serve our patients. This activity is designed to provide education and open a forum for addressing the challenges faced in providing efficient and effective mental health care.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
Identify how to open network of communication between a patient's primary care and mental health provider.
Evaluate and initiate appropriate medical therapy for patients suffering from: Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, and Substance Abuse.
Differentiate between types of psychiatry disorders and treatments.
Identify patients who would benefit from augmentation strategies and the patient who would benefit from counselling and additional referral.
