OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:  (1) Discuss shortcomings and limitations of current literature regarding bleeding risk and procedures in patients with cirrhosis, (2) Identify the overall prevalence and incidence of procedure related bleeding in cirrhosis, (3) Discuss risk factors associated with bleeding in patients with cirrhosis undergoing procedures. (4) Analyze current society guidelines and best practice hemostasis management of patients with cirrhosis undergoing procedures.
